Aequivalent has successfully completed the re-certification according to the new ISO 27001:2022 standard. Following a rigorous audit by the Swiss certification entity SQS (Swiss Association for Quality and Management Systems), its existing ISO 27001:2013 certification was seamlessly upgraded to the 27001:2022 version – without a single non-conformity.

The ISO 27001 standard is recognised worldwide as a benchmark for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS). It ensures that companies implement a comprehensive and systematic approach to information security. Aequivalent has been certified for more than six years and has demonstrated its continuous improvement and high security standards with this successful re-certification.
A flawless result – a testament to the highest standards
The audit conducted by SQS was very successful: no minor or major non-conformities were identified. This underscores the effectiveness of our ISMS and our consistent commitment to the security and protection of sensitive data – especially within our background check processes for candidates and employees of our clients.
Michael Platen (CEO) is highly satisfied with this result: “The successful re-certification confirms our consistent efforts and our commitment to the highest quality and security standards. Information security is not just a technical requirement for us, it is a strategic priority. I am very proud of our team and happy with this outstanding achievement.”
A special thanks goes to Mahandry Rambinintsoa (DPO & ISO 27001 Manager), whose expertise and dedication were instrumental in this success. Thanks to his leadership and the strong collaboration within the team, Aequivalent was able to achieve this remarkable result.
Information security as a strategic advantage
The update to ISO 27001:2022 introduces new requirements and best practices, which Aequivalent not only meets but also consistently integrates into its business strategy. The re-certification ensures that Aequivalent’s data protection and security standards comply with current legal and regulatory requirements – including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Swiss Data Protection (FADP).
For our clients and their candidates, this means increased security: their data is in safe hands. Information security processes are continuously monitored and optimised to uphold the highest standards and maintain maximum trust.
Aequivalent also actively participates in leading information security networks, such as TrustValley, Trust4SME’s, Clusis and the Swiss Association of Data Protection Officers (ASDPO). This not only enables us to share and further integrate best practices, but also to support other organisations with specific challenges such as human risk management and employee screening.
With this successful certification, Aequivalent sends out a strong signal of continuity, quality and ongoing improvement in information security – ensuring the protection of sensitive data for our clients, their candidates and employees.
